Types of Braces

Thanks to today’s advances in orthodontic technology, Greater Chattanooga Orthodontics can provide our patients with more options when it comes to wearing braces than ever before. While traditional metal braces are still widely used, clear braces are very popular with teens and adults who are self-conscious about wearing braces, along with Invisalign removable aligners, the “braceless” alternative to straight teeth. Dr. Cheryl Aldridge will help you determine which treatment option is right for you.

Stride Custom Braces

Choose from Metal or Clear Brackets

With traditional orthodontics you get a one-size-fits-all approach to treatment. It works, but it requires more adjustments and guesswork by your orthodontist throughout your time in braces. That means more orthodontic appointments and a lot more time in braces. But with Stride Custom Braces, your treatment is customized to your unique anatomy, so you get to your new smile faster than ever. Your orthodontist creates a topographical map of your unique anatomy which Dr. Aldridge uses to select the ideal brackets and placement for each tooth. This customized approach means less time in braces, less time away from school or work, and more time loving your new smile. Click here to learn more about Stride Braces!

Invisible Braces

Clear appliances, such as Invisalign, use a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners to straighten your teeth. No one can tell you are wearing those aligners because they are invisible! Invisalign aligners are removable so you are not limited in what you can eat and drink during treatment. Plus… brushing and flossing are less of a hassle. The aligners are comfortable and have no metal to cause mouth abrasions during treatment. Invisalign
